I had the wonderful oppurtunity to have an interview with Joshua Moshier for my podcast recently, check it out!
Joshua Moshier is a three-time Emmy-nominated composer. He co-composed the score and main title for the recent Netflix animated series Haunted Hotel, and is also known for The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie and the FX series Baskets. Today we chat about what it’s like to go from weekly shorts to a feature, the interesting approaches he takes in his music, as well as how he got started in the industry.
Read "Unique Approaches in Scoring with Joshua Moshier (Haunted Hotel/The Day The Earth Blew Up, & Baskets)" a moment ago, and it gave me a useful reminder to stay intentional. This fits well with Red full-screen background for color checks, alert visuals, and. The solid red page angle was especially helpful for what I'm working on. Appreciate you publishing this.
Joshua Moshier's work on Haunted Hotel and The Day The Earth Blew Up sounds pretty wild-I kind of love how he jumps between Netflix animations and Looney Tunes. ScoringTech.net's Coffee with Composers podcast gave me a fresh take on his process, and I'm definitely checking out that Thumbnail Downloader for my own projects.
