Walter Murch laid out 6 great principles in his book, “In the Blink of an Eye” for editors to keep in mind when editing. Stop Blaming the Algorithm! Make More Art!
The biggest frustration I hear from musicians, artists, and honestly creative people in general is the idea that you need to make art for the algorithm rather than art you want to make in order to be successful.
