In an effort to encourage collaboration and making arts for arts sake, I will be hosting monthly "composer jams" where composers can get together to experiment and create in a controlled pressure low stakes environment. This is inspired by game jams in the video game community and is a perfect opportunity to create music you want to create without a large time commitment or stakes on the line.

JOIN NOW The Composer Weekend Jam is a music jam, for composers of all levels to challenge themselves to create something new in a weekend in a controlled stress environment. Like traditional game james, collaboration is highly encouraged. Perhaps you have someone else add a layer to your audio, maybe you mix someone else's track. The sky is the limit!

Rules & Guidelines

You can compose in any genre or style you like as long as you relate your music to the theme

Music must be original and written during the time of the jam

Though Itch is a game centric site, you do not need to be a "game composer" to participate!

Music of all kinds is allowed and encouraged

Music generated via ai rather than written is not allowed.

Aim for at least 90 seconds. Quality over quantity, but feel free to go longer if desired.

Projects can be submitted in a .wav or .mp3 file. If there are interactive elements feel free to submit a screen cap of your wwise project and showing off interactivity

Theme: Summer!

Bonus challenge this month is to write for an instrument you normally do not use.

Join our discord to meet collaborators, chat, or get feedback on your track.
