Appendix C: Future Revisions & Ideas

In order to make the scope of this project more manageable, I had to cut some ideas I had for this book. In a future revision, here are some topics I would like to discuss. If there is anything you would like to see added, send me an email at joe@joechrismusic.com.

  • Overview of various Music Programming Languages

  • Various methods of exporting stems in multiple DAWS

  • More tutorials with graphics (ex: the above)

  • Downloadable Asset sheet/other document templates for various types of projects (possibly doing this in an open-source manner)

  • Find or design a standard series of benchmarks for audio production that can be used to compare system performance across computers (utilizing a package of easily accessible and free plugins)

  • Printers (especially regarding printing scores)

  • Best methods for deleting unnecessary apps & data

  • Overview of “business” type software that may be useful to know (E signing software, project management software, accounting software, etc.)

  • Conversation about ergonomics, looking to gamer set ups as they tend to have it quite figured out

  • Blue blockers, both physical and software

  • Passwords, 2FA, and other basic tech security measures

  • Mixing IT - how to set up speakers beyond stereo. Dolby, VR, XR, Sorround, PAssive/Active Speakers etc

  • Analog Synths - large format, eurorack, buchla etc

  • In depth look at midi controller types

  • Tutorials - transferring midi to notation, setting up PT sessions for Recording (+ Tips)

  • Film YouTube Videos to integrate with these posts

  • Dante, Audio over IP

  • Data Sonification Tools

  • Microphone Database

  • A Deeper Look at the various "media" to score and the specialized tech/processes behind them: films, games, theater, trailers, advertisements, food, etc.
